Services Along the Nile International Ethiopia is committed to enhancing the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of health care in Gurage Zone, Abeshge District, Walga District. Our focus is on promoting evidence-based primary care and preventive services while ensuring Basic care for the local population and surrounding communities.

The health program is implemented through the “Walga Health Center Allied Health Services Project”, which aims to provide integrated health services for seven kebeles, serving a total population of 27,984 and beyond. The project ensures that health services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with modern health care standards.

By combining modern facilities, trained staff, and evidence-based practices, we aim to improve community health outcomes, reduce preventable illnesses, and empower individuals to lead healthier lives.

Our Health Services

At Walga Health Center, health services are delivered through two main streams: primary care and preventive services, supported by a fully equipped laboratory, pharmacy, radiology unit, and a digitalized Prime Care system.

Primary Care Services
Our primary care services include:
Outpatient Department (OPD):
Eight fully equipped consultation rooms, including a separate pediatric examination area for children under five.
Emergency Services:
24/7 emergency care for urgent medical needs.
Maternal and Child Health (MCH):
Comprehensive maternal services including antenatal care, delivery, and postnatal care.
Laboratory Services:
Standard health center laboratory providing diagnostic support for clinical decisions.
Pharmacy Services:
Fully stocked pharmacy ensuring access to essential medications.
Ultrasound:
Imaging services to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Our preventive services focus on health promotion and disease prevention and include:

Vaccination Programs:
Immunization for children and adults to prevent communicable diseases.
Health Education:
Community awareness campaigns and counseling on hygiene, nutrition, maternal and child health, and disease prevention.

Over the past three years, the health center has consistently expanded access, improved service quality, and increased utilization, particularly for women and children.
